Privacy policy

What this policy covers

Vertex Digital s.r.o. ("Vertex Media"), Příčná 189c/4, Praha 1, 110 00, Czech Republic, operates Placement Studio and is responsible for the information described here. This policy explains how information is processed when administrators and invited publisher clients use the Placement Studio Chrome extension and its cloud service.

Placement Studio has one purpose: creating, displaying, and reviewing simulated advertising-placement proposals on supported publisher websites.

Information processed

Publisher preview

• The current page origin and path are sent to the Placement Studio service when the extension checks for a matching published proposal. Query parameters, fragments, and general page contents are not sent for discovery.
• If a publisher chooses to send feedback, we process the optional name, placement reactions, and comment they submit.
• A randomly generated installation identifier is stored locally. The service stores only a one-way keyed hash of that identifier, scoped to the proposal, so the same publisher can update or remove their response.

Vertex Media administrators

• Google account information needed for authentication, including name, verified Vertex Media email address, profile image when supplied, and session information.
• Proposal information created by administrators, including target website, page path, CSS selectors, simulated placement settings, example creative copy, sharing state, and internal notes.

Service operation

The service and its infrastructure providers may process standard security and request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, response status, and diagnostic logs. Chrome local storage is used for extension settings, the proposal cache, account display information, and the random feedback identifier. The administrator bearer token is kept in Chrome session storage and is cleared when the browser session ends, the extension updates, or the administrator disconnects.

How information is used

Information is used only to:

• find and render the proposal matching the current page;
• save and synchronize administrator-created proposals;
• authenticate authorized Vertex Media administrators;
• deliver feedback that a publisher explicitly submits;
• protect, troubleshoot, and operate the service.

Placement Studio does not serve real advertisements, insert tracking pixels, build advertising profiles, sell personal information, or use extension data for unrelated advertising or credit decisions.

Sharing and human access

Placement Studio uses the following service providers:

• Google LLC provides Google Workspace OAuth for administrator authentication and processes the account information used during sign-in.
• Cloudflare, Inc. provides encrypted delivery, reverse-proxy, abuse-prevention, and network-security services and may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, route, and timestamp.
• Hetzner Online GmbH provides the server infrastructure on which the Placement Studio application, PostgreSQL database, and operational logs are hosted.

Feedback is private. It is visible to authorized Vertex Media administrators because the publisher explicitly chooses to send it for review. Personnel may otherwise access information only when necessary for security, support, legal compliance, or service operation.

International processing and your choices

These providers may process information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate. Vertex Media uses provider contracts and other safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to processing. You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

Retention and deletion

• A publisher can remove feedback from the success screen after sending it. An administrator can also delete individual feedback.
• Deleting a proposal deletes its related feedback and share links.
• Administrator account and proposal data are retained while the workspace is active or as needed to provide the service.
• Security and diagnostic logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations under the applicable provider configuration.

Security

Placement Studio uses encrypted transport, access controls, restricted administrator accounts, short-lived sessions, hashed identifiers, bounded request bodies, rate limits, and database ownership checks. No system is perfectly secure, but we maintain safeguards appropriate to the information processed.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Placement Studio does not transfer that information for personalized advertising, credit decisions, data brokerage, or unrelated profiling.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The wider Vertex Media privacy policy continues to apply where it provides additional rights or information.
